Zipp Goodyear Inter Xplr Tubeless tyre
Versatile gravel tyre.
This tyre is able to cope with dry to mixed conditions. Today's gravel tyres are mostly slightly more robust versions of the existing road tyres: light, stiff, narrow and aerodynamic. The problem is that driving on gravel induces damaging vibrations that slow the user down and increase fatigue over time. In addition, gravel tyres generally negate the aerodynamic advantages of traditionally narrow road wheels. The new XPLR wheel and tyre system takes a completely new approach and optimises component dimensions to achieve the fastest configuration on the market. In addition to the unsurpassed aerodynamic advantages for off-road use, the resulting rim width also allows the tyre pressure to be reduced, helping to filter out vibrations for further energy savings. The XPLR Inter can be used in most situations. The narrow design in the centre ensures fast rolling, while the larger side blocks provide grip and safety when cornering. The light and elastic structure improves ride quality. M:Wall reinforcements on the sidewalls protect against punctures and cuts, allowing the rider to use the lowest possible air pressure. Finally, the tyre's bead size is designed to ensure a comfortable fit and secure hold.
