With Rave SLR, wilier has turned its gaze towards new horizons, creating a product with two distinct souls, perfect for all-road, perfect for gravel, but united by an incredible racing predisposition. Rave SLR will be a new cycling experience, unexpected for many.
Gravel equipment
The Rave SLR can be equipped with high level mounts (Sram Red XPLR AXS, Force XPLR AXS or Shimano GRX Di2) with up to 42mm tyres.
Performante
Performance has always been a key concern for WIlier. And the genesis of the Rave SLR could not be any different. Translating performance into concrete aspects we are talking about a light, responsive frame (rigid where necessary) and with racing geometry.
Lightweight
The frame in size M falls below the 1,000 gram mark. The lamination combines the same carbon fibre fabrics used in the construction of Filante SLR and Verticale SLR.
Reactive
To make the frame reactive, Wilier has deployed all the experience gained in the use of technopolymers, mixing carbon with special viscoelastic fibres such as Liquid Crystal Polymer. Construction technologies borrowed from those used for Filante SLR and Verticale SLR, products with an excellent ride quality recognised by the most demanding professional racers.
Balanced geometries
To make the frame with balanced racing geometries we start from the racing references of the top road bikes, mixing them with endurance and gravel derived frame dimensions: all without distorting the performance objective we set ourselves at the start of the design.
A slightly higher stack and a slightly shorter reach compared to the pure racing bikes, combined with the carbon monocoque handlebars available, are the perfect meeting point between high performance and comfort.
Integrated handlebars and cables
In addition to their low weight, the monocoque handlebars available in the Rave SLR equipment accommodate the brake and control cables inside them, routing them inside the frame. The stem / handlebar combo has an essential design, with sinuous and rounded lines to ensure maximum grip ergonomics and to give the Rave SLR that elegance typical of Wilier Triestina's high-end products.
Easy-fit spacers
The spacers interposed between the frame's head tube and the handlebar are made of high-rigidity composite material, with a special cavity dedicated to cable routing. They consist of two parts so that they can be assembled and disassembled quickly, without interfering with the cables that run between the handlebar and frame.
