Specialized S-Works 7 Road shoes

S-Works 7 - a pair of high-performance, comfortable and ultra-light road shoes

What are the main features of a perfect shoe? An exceptional transfer of power? Superior comfort? Style? The answer is YES to all of these questions. With the S-Works 7 you'll have a shoe with no compromise!

Specialized team took a no holds barred approach to transferring every bit of your power to the pedals. The lighter and stiffer Powerline™ carbon sole is new and brought to you by the same team that developed Rider-First Engineering. Why's this special? Because it led to the lightest and stiffest carbon outsole to date. A completely refined Padlock™ heel, meanwhile, packs in more comfort with the same exceptional heel hold that you found in the previous replication. And finally, the space-grade Dyneema™ material used in the upper doesn’t stretch when pulled on, making sure that your foot stays where it’s supposed to. With all these features combined, you can be sure that they’ve kept in line with the motto “every watt is sacred.”

In the comfort arena, Specialized kept all of the Body Geometry features you know and love, like the Longitudinal Arch, Varus Wedge, and Metatarsal Button. Each one of these features have been ergonomically designed and scientifically tested to not only boost power, but also to increase efficiency and reduce the risk of injury. They also took luxury into account by designing the S-Works 7 to have form that complements its function, so you'll find seams that are bonded together, rather than sewn, cleaning up the lines and wrapping around your foot with slipper-like comfort. The custom CNC’d alloy BOA® dials also add some panache, but they also feature durable spring clutch internals with precise, one-millimeter micro-adjustments that let you perfectly dial in your fit.

The S-Works 7 embodies everything we know about footwear, compacted into one shoe–no compromises, no shortcuts, just explosive speed and superior comfort.

Boa

With instant, single-handed fine tuning as precise as 1 mm, making it easy to adjust for added comfort or a more targeted performance without ever losing focus. Once dialed in, the Boa Fit System stays that way. At the mountain, on the course, or on the job, Boa gives you a secure fit, making it easy to get your gear on and off quickly no matter what conditions are.

Dyneema®

Dyneema (Gel Spun Polyethylene) is a synthetic fibre particularly suitable for the production of traction cables. It's usually used for sports applications such as kitesurfing, paragliding, mountaineering, archery, professional fishing and used in the production of bulletproof vests. Dyneema lanyards have exceptional strength, comparable to steel cables, but with the stress, twisting and bending withstanding advantages. Unlike the first generation of HDPE (high-density polyethylene), today the Dyneema brand has made up for the disadvantage of its high elasticity, which made it dimensionally unstable.
The extrusion of the Dyneema fibre takes place through the straightening of the polyethylene chain which in this form acquires the characteristics of HDPE (high density polyethylene) becoming a fibre with very high tensile strength and no elasticity.

FACT

FACT, short for Functional Advanced Composite Technology, embodies Specialized's team approach to carbon composites. It's a comprehensive engineering process that guides the development of frames and components, all the way from initial sketches to finished products. FACT frames and equipment are based on the needs of riders like yourself. First, Specialized assess why something should be made, then they figure out how best to make it. Simple enough, right? In theory, yes, but in application, it takes a mastery in a host of critical disciplines: design & engineering, material selection, the fabrication process, and testing. Using the Specialized products we'd say that the results are worth it!

Body Geometry

Body Geometry is the most comprehensive system for connecting bike and rider through ergonomically designed and scientifically tested systematic customisation to improve power, endurance and comfort.
