Shimano GRX FC-RX810-2 crankset
A perfect balance of rigidity, strength, weight and rolling efficiency
Shimano's new FC-RX810-2 crankset offers a perfect balance of weight and efficiency for mixed terrain. There are gearing options for specific Gravel requirements and for maintaining closer ratios so as not to alter the pedalling rhythm.
Features
- Optimum gearing for mixed terrain and various specialities
- Gravel-specific gear ratios preserve rhythm on rough surfaces with wider tyres
- Front system with wide range of ratios
- 17D crankset range
- Sprockets: 11

HG-EV
The HG-EV sprocket cassette provides rider-tuned gear combinations and cadence management. Shimano offers an 11v system with optimised gear ratios; you can choose wider and closer gear combinations depending on the discipline. The HG-EV sprocket cassette offers 11v combinations while maintaining the strength of 10v systems and HYPERGLIDE optimised performance.
Hollowtech II
Hollowtech II technology is aimed at producing a superior crankset that maximises power transfer. The stiffness of the crankset ensures efficient pedalling, while the lightness, a key element of the crankset, makes it easier for the rider to pedal longer distances, where more pedalling is required. Naturally, Shimano went to great lengths to ensure a super-light and extremely stiff crankset, two conflicting goals. Hollowtech technology, which consists of an ultra-light hollow crank that maintains stiffness, was developed by Shimano using its exclusive forging technologies. The addition of Hollowtech II technology integrates the bottom bracket axle with the right crank, providing increased rigidity, weight reduction and high dimensional stability. The bottom bracket axial bearing system ensures better weight distribution, resulting in more efficient power transfer. The Hollowtech II crankset was developed pursuing an optimal balance between rigidity and rolling performance, and thus an ultra-light and very elegant design was achieved.
