The BR-M6120 caliper is based on a four-piston system of two different sizes. The light and rigid construction allows the pads to be gently clamped onto the disc and a large contact surface area that reduces noise and doses power easily.

Four Piston
The disc brake system with a caliper with two opposing pistons of different diameters is characterised by the presence of pistons of different sizes at the front and rear. The system adopts a power transfer mode whereby the disc brake rotor is pressed by the smaller piston at the inlet of the rotor housing and also by the larger, more powerful piston at the rear. This prevents the disk brake rotor from jerking and significantly reduces noise.
In addition, the 4-piston caliper provides a larger contact surface area for the disc brake rotor while maintaining compact dimensions, while the efficient pad positioning is adjusted to the extent necessary to stabilise pressure.
