Ohlins RXF34 M.2 Air TTX18 29" fork

Designed for cyclists who ride a lot of terrain, FAST.

The new fork replaces the original RXF34 and offers a short-travel 120-130 mm configuration optimized for lightweight 29” trail bikes. The fork boasts an all-new air spring and shock adapted to the needs of the new riding style, while retaining all the hallmarks of the race-proven, high-performance Öhlins suspension already found on its long travel, single-plate cousins: the RXF36 m.2 and RXF38 m.2.

OTX18: the 'downcountry damper'
The RXF34 m.2 uses the newly developed OTX18 shock absorber. Derived from the highly successful TTX18 shock absorber found in Öhlins downhill and trail forks, the OTX18 is designed specifically for lightweight trail bikes. It shares several key components with its big brother TTX18, but weighs 27 percent less and is optimized for a faster, smoother ride on trails, achieving the optimal balance of traction, control, weight, and stiffness. Like all Öhlins shocks, the OTX18 offers impressive adjustability for precise tuning, with fifteen clicks of low-speed compression and return adjustment, as well as three for high-speed compression. As always, a wide and proven range of adjustments is also available for those who wish to further customize their riding feel.

Lightweight air spring
The new shock is paired with a strong but lightweight air spring that features a positive chamber and a self-adjusting negative chamber. The positive chamber allows riders to adjust the spring's response curve to suit their needs with Öhlins' easy-to-use spacer system. The negative chamber, on the other hand, is designed for fast riding on trails and offers a soft initial feel and excellent sensitivity to small bumps. The spring surface and seals minimize friction and cue force, improving the smoothness of the fork ride.

Race-proven frame design
With a flex pattern designed for light trail riding, the RXF34 m.2's super-rigid frame offers precise and immediate steering. This was achieved through a closed outer tube design to increase stiffness, impact resistance, and lower chainstays volume. The increased air volume at the base of the fork increases the impact of the air spring on overall performance. This in turn gives the rider more power to adjust performance to their liking, resulting in greater safety and control. The RXF34 m.2 also benefits from the same race-proven floating pivot design found in the RXF36 m.2 and RXF38 m.2, which reduces friction and further increases stiffness.
