SCULTURA ENDURANCE GR 8000 takes the CF3 carbon frame from our test and award-winning road endurance bike and sharpens the focus on gravel racing with 35 mm Continental Terra Speed tyres and a flared handlebar for extra control. That's backed up with a carbon fibre MERIDA TEAM GR30 wheelset and wireless 12-speed SRAM Force AXS groupset with double chainset, giving huge gear range and tightly spaced ratios that allow you to keep the tempo high. The perfect tool for gravel Gran Fondos or fast, rough roads.
The SCULTURA ENDURANCE is the perfect choice for more leisure-focused cyclists who want to enjoy long hours in the saddle while being comfortable and relaxed on the bike. Wide tyres offer plenty of comfort, even on the most pothole-littered country lanes, while a longer head tube provides a more relaxed riding position. An instant hit with the international cycling press and besides being given a 'comfort' award by RennRad, it also managed to get a long list of compliments like 'excellent comfort', ‘confidence inspiring', 'lively feel' and 'enjoyable' by reference cycling media such as Gran Fondo, Cyclingnews, Cyclingtips and Road.cc. Compared to its namesake, the SCULTURA, the ENDURANCE has a more comfort-orientated geometry, plenty of tyre clearance and seamless integration of the latest standards. It sits between the road-biased SCULTURA on one side and the gravel/adventure SILEX on the other, while the SCULTURA ENDURANCE GR lineup offers gravel-racing focussed options with off-road ready tyres and flared handlebars.

Technologies

FLEX-STAY
The profile of the pendants and horizontal stay and the carbon lay-up programme are adapted to function like a flat leaf spring, absorbing surface shocks and reducing vibrations.

X-TAPER HEADTUBE
Our X-Tapered headtube provides space for mounting a tapered fork. Tapered forks offer exceptional stiffness and precision, and provide confidence-inspiring steering.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike has a clean look, while the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.

DI2 READY
Bikes/frames with the ‘Di2 Ready’ symbol are prepared for the installation of Di2 technology by mounting the battery in the seatpost or inside the fork.

NANO MATRIX CARBON
To protect the integrity of carbon frames, the fibres are bonded together with an epoxy resin with the addition of nanoparticles, increasing impact resistance by up to 40%.

AWS
When creating the individual carbon elements, an inflatable inner tube is used to ensure that there are no wrinkles inside the tube as they can add weight and create weakness. This results in a lighter, stiffer and stronger frame.

DISC COOLER
A forged aluminium component under the front and/or rear caliper that allows heat to dissipate through CNC-milled cooling fins. Tests show that temperatures are reduced by around 35 % and cooling times are shortened, optimising brake performance.

INTERNAL CLAMP
Designing WorldTour bikes is similar to Formula 1: seemingly anonymous details can save fractions of seconds. The integrated seatpost clamp minimises turbulence on the top tube.

REMOVABLE F-MOUNT
A removable f-mount can be fitted for tidier and safer mounting of the rear mudguards, but removed for more mud clearance and a cleaner appearance.

WIRE PORT
MERIDA has designed covers that allow all control cables to enter the frame through the headset, creating a neat and tidy appearance without making structural changes to the frame. Depending on the model, the cables pass completely inside the handlebar (including the stem) or semi-integrated where the cables enter the frame below the stem.
