Merida ONE-FORTY 700 III2 bike

Voted Trail Bike of the Year 2023 by Bikeradar, the ONE-FORTY 700 combines a high-value all-aluminum frame with high-performance equipment that won't let you down. Radical trail geometry offers the kind of climbing ability that would make a mountain goat proud while putting enduro bikes to shame with downhill speed. The wide range, 12-speed SRAM drivetrain and four-piston brakes, high-performance Marzocchi and RockShox suspension, and our long-stroke adjustable telescopic seatpost offer unwavering performance.

The proven, award-winning ONE-FORTY is the ultimate trail bike, built for the world's toughest trails. It is the pinnacle of modern trail riding, with an extremely steep 80° seat angle, low front end and bottom bracket that enable it to overcome the most technical climbs, while the longest reach values for all sizes and a well-balanced 65°. The steering angle means it is still more than capable of tearing up any descent. With our AGILOMETER sizing system, riders can use a longer or shorter reach frame regardless of their height, with suspension that becomes more progressive as you go up in size to better cope with heavier/harder riders. We also focused on reducing weight and rolling speed for better efficiency. All bikes feature long travel telescopic seatposts, WIRE PORT cable routing, and a reliable threaded bottom bracket, plus the carbon frames have integrated tool space and Fidlock magnetic bottle cages.

Technologies

Prolite 66 Triple Butted Aluminum
Proven high-end aluminum (6066) is extremely light and strong. By using triple-butted wall thicknesses and hydro forming technology, the best ratio of stiffness to weight can be offered.

HFS - Hydro forming system
Tubes are inserted into negative molds and a hot emulsion of water and oil is forced under pressure, enabling them to form complex shapes.

X-TAPER Headtube
The X-Tapered headtube provides space for mounting a tapered fork. Tapered forks offer exceptional stiffness and precision and provide confidence-inspiring steering.

Smooth welding
Sometimes called "double pass welding," a second pass on the weld gives the frame a clean, organic look. At first glance, you'll be convinced it's carbon.

Internal cable routing
Cables are routed through the frame, going in and out through smooth sockets. The bike has a clean look, while the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.

NON-Slip Tightening
Selected bolts can be tightened on one side only, without running the risk of the opposite side slipping or rotating, enabling faster and more direct tightening of important hardware components.

P-Flex
The yielding nature of the material and the specific shaping of the tubes allows the frame to flex near the junction of the saddle and chainstay, making a pivot point obsolete. By not mounting a pivot point at the junction of the saddle and chainstay, we save weight and add rigidity.

Wire Port
MERIDA has designed covers that allow all control cables to enter the frame through the headset, creating a clean, uncluttered appearance without making structural changes to the frame. Depending on the model, the cables pass completely inside (including bar and stem) or semi-integrated where the cables enter the frame under the stem.

Fast Kinematic
Flexstay rear suspension platform that has size-specific suspension kinematics, with longer reach models having more progression to better suit tougher and/or heavier riders. Adjustable plate to use 29er or mixed (27.5-29) full wheel conformation while preserving geometry.

Long Fender
ONE-FORTY and ONE-SIXTY can mount an elegantly integrated and removable full-length rear fender that provides the rider with excellent protection from dirt and water spray from the rear wheel. This is in addition to the standard short fender, which helps protect the main pivot and cables, prolonging their life.
