There's no point in going out if you can't come back, which is why we've fitted a high-value kit that offers high performance. Marzocchi and RockShox take care of the suspension, while a wide-range Shimano 11-speed drivetrain turns your effort into movement and four-piston brakes turn the lightest touch into a perfect phenata. The new ONE-FORTY is the ultimate trail bike, built for the toughest trails in the world. It is the pinnacle of modern trail riding, with an 80° seat tube angle, low front end and high bottom bracket allowing it to conquer the most technical climbs, while the longer frame on all sizes and a well-balanced 65° head tube angle mean you can tackle any descent.  With the new sizing system, riders can use a longer or shorter frame regardless of their height, with suspension that becomes more progressive as you increase in size. We also focused on reducing weight and rolling speed for greater efficiency. All bikes feature long travel telescopic seatposts, WIRE PORT cable routing and a reliable threaded bottom bracket, plus carbon frames have an integrated tool compartment and FidLock magnetic bottle cages.

Technologies

HFS - HYDRO FORMING SYSTEM
Tubes are inserted into negative moulds and a hot emulsion of water and oil is forced under pressure, enabling them to form complex shapes.

X-TAPER HEADTUBE
Our X-Tapered headtube offers space for mounting a tapered fork. Tapered forks offer exceptional stiffness and precision, and provide confidence-inspiring steering.

SMOOTH WELDING
Sometimes called ‘double pass welding’, a second pass on the weld gives the frame a clean, organic appearance. At first glance, you'll be convinced it's carbon.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike has a clean look, while the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.

PROLITE 66 TRIPLE BUTTED ALUMINIUM
Our proven high-end aluminium (6066) is extremely light and strong. By using triple wall thicknesses and hydroforming technology, we can fine-tune the aluminium tubes to offer the best possible stiffness-to-weight ratio.

NON-SLIP TIGHTENING
Selected bolts can be tightened on one side only, without the risk of the opposite side slipping or rotating, allowing for faster and more direct tightening of important hardware components.

P-FLEX
The softness of the material and the specific shaping of the tubes allow the frame to flex near the junction of the saddle and chainstay, making an articulation point obsolete. By not fitting a pivot point at the junction of the saddle and chainstay, we save weight and add rigidity.

WIRE PORT
MERIDA has designed covers that allow all control cables to enter the frame through the headset, creating a clean and uncluttered appearance without making structural changes to the frame. Depending on the model, the cables pass completely inside the handlebar (including the stem) or semi-integrated where the cables enter the frame below the stem.

FAST KINEMATIC
Flexstay rear suspension platform that has size-specific suspension kinematics, with longer reach models that have greater progression to better suit tougher and/or heavier riders. Adjustable plate to use full 29er or mixed (27.5-29) wheel configurations while preserving geometry.

LONG FENDER
ONE-FORTY and ONE-SIXTY can be fitted with an elegantly integrated and removable full-length rear wing that provides the rider with excellent protection from dirt and water spray from the rear wheel. This is in addition to the standard short mudguard, which helps protect the main pivot and cables, prolonging their service life.
