Merida NINETY-SIX 7000 III1 bike
There was a time when you had to choose between trail bike performance and cross-country-ready weight. Not anymore. Say hello to the NINETY-SIX 7000. It builds on the fast genes of the short-travel race winner with a CF4 carbon frame and adds a whole new level of capability thanks to a 120 mm Fox 34 SC Performance fork with longer travel combined with 100 mm out back. Add more aggressive tires and a larger four-piston front brake and you're ready to rock.
The NINETY-SIX is the latest incarnation of the former World Cup-tested XC and Marathon machine. It inherits the racing genes of the old NINETY-SIX and combines them with a new readiness and ability to tackle today's challenging XC and Marathon courses. The carbon fiber frame platform and P-FLEX suspension provide the perfect foundation for a fun, fast, trail-loving, short-traveling full-suspension machine that helps define what a modern cross-country bike should be. It is capable of tackling the toughest world-class race tracks ever, as well as riders who want hyper-fast climbs with the ability to descend like never before. For those who want a cross-country bike for racing rather than high-speed trail fun, the RC models offer a short-travel with a 100 mm fork at the front, super-fast tires, and a lighter front brake.

Technologies
X-TAPER Headtube
The X-Tapered headtube provides space for mounting a tapered fork. Tapered forks offer exceptional stiffness and precision and provide confidence-inspiring steering.
Internal cable routing
Cables are routed through the frame, going in and out through smooth sockets. The bike has a clean look, while the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.
NON-Slip Tightening
Selected bolts can be tightened on one side only, without running the risk of the opposite side slipping or rotating, enabling faster and more direct tightening of important hardware components.
P-Flex
The yielding nature of the material and the specific shaping of the tubes allows the frame to flex near the junction of the saddle and chainstay, making a pivot point obsolete. By not mounting a pivot point at the junction of the saddle and chainstay, we save weight and add rigidity.
Wire Port
MERIDA has designed covers that allow all control cables to enter the frame through the headset, creating a clean, uncluttered appearance without making structural changes to the frame. Depending on the model, the cables pass completely inside (including bar and stem) or semi-integrated where the cables enter the frame under the stem.
Nano Matrix carbon
To protect the integrity of carbon frames, fibers are bonded together with an epoxy resin with added nanoparticles, increasing impact resistance by up to 40 percent.
AWS
When creating the individual carbon elements, an inflatable inner tube is used to ensure that there are no wrinkles inside the tube as they can add weight and create weakness. This results in a lighter, stiffer and stronger frame.
