Merida E Spresso CC 400 EQ Iv1
Everyday practicality with the ability to get off the beaten track
A powerful Shimano motor unit with 630 Wh internal battery in the low-profile frame, plus city-ready kit and robust tyres. Whether your commute is on forest trails and dirt tracks or you simply want the freedom to explore on the weekends, the eSPRESSO CC 400 EQ offers all the convenience of a city e-bike with the added off-road capability. This is because the low-rise ENERGY CRADLE frame is rigid enough to tackle dirt tracks and also houses an internal 504 Wh battery and the powerful new Shimano EP6 motor unit. Although the suspension fork and seatpost help keep you comfortable on rough roads, we've fitted it with a range of kit to make life in the city easier and safer, with mudguards, rack, lights, lock and stand as standard. A 9-speed Shimano drivetrain with smooth gear changes and robust, low-maintenance hydraulic disc brakes add smooth control. The eSPRESSO CC is the robust sister of the regular eSPRESSO, with wider high-volume tyres and more grip on 650b wheels. Although it is happy to work hard in the urban jungle thanks to its wings, lights, lock, luggage rack and standard kickstand, it is also capable of tackling trips along forest trails and gravel tracks for fun. Models with a low step-in ENERGY CRADLE frame design are equipped with fully integrated 630 Wh or 750 Wh batteries, while a more economical semi-integrated frame is equipped with a 504 Wh battery. All are equipped with a refined but powerful Shimano STEPS pedal-assist motor, including the sporty EP8 unit on some models. A smooth and comfortable ride is provided by the suspension forks on all models, while powerful hydraulic disc brakes allow for easy and controlled stopping power. All have a high system weight of 150 kg, which means plenty of capacity for rider and luggage.
