The eSILEX 400 combines a sleek, lightweight frame with versatile gravel tyres on 700c rims with the help of the MAHLE ebikemotion X35+ motor and a 250 Wh battery to expand your riding horizons. An aluminium frame and carbon fork with numerous mounts are ideal for big bike trips or small adventures, while the smooth shifting and powerful braking of the Shimano GRX double crankset are reliable companions, on or off-road
If you're often looking for the off-road alternative when you're out cycling or simply enjoy exploring the unknown trail, then eSILEX could be the perfect pedal-assist bike for you. The MAHLE system on the rear hub with integrated battery offers support whenever your trip requires electric motor assistance. You can even use an externally mounted MAHLE 208 Wh range extender to increase the range. Similarly to the unassisted SILEX, the eSILEX is available in the stronger 650b configuration or the faster 700c configuration. Both versions are equipped with gravel/off-road tyres for extra grip.

Technologies

PROLITE 66 TRIPLE BUTTED ALUMINIUM
Proven high-end aluminium (6066) is extremely light and strong. By using triple wall thicknesses and hydroforming technology, we can fine-tune the aluminium tubes to offer the best possible stiffness-to-weight ratio.

HFS - HYDRO FORMING SYSTEM
Tubes are inserted into negative moulds and a hot emulsion of water and oil is forced under pressure, allowing them to form complex shapes.

X-TAPER HEADTUBE
X-Tapered headtube offers space for mounting a tapered fork. Tapered forks offer exceptional stiffness and precision, and provide confidence-inspiring steering.

SMOOTH WELDING
Sometimes called ‘double pass welding’, a second pass on the weld gives the frame a clean, organic appearance. At first glance, you'll be convinced it's carbon.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike has a clean appearance, while the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.

DOWN TUBE EXIT
Ensures that internally routed cables and wires cannot move freely and remain easily accessible for maintenance.

F-MOUNT
Bikes equipped with F-Mount have integrated mudguard fittings (some bikes require model-specific mudguards), making installation quick and easy.

K-MOUNT
Integrated bracket on the horizontal chainstay to mount a MERIDA kickstand (or any commercial kickstand).

C-MOUNT
Bikes equipped with C-Mount have attachment points for a rear rack already integrated (some bikes require a model-specific rear rack), making assembly quick, easy and reliable.

WIRE PORT
MERIDA has designed covers that allow all control cables to enter the frame through the headset, creating a neat and tidy appearance without making structural changes to the frame. Depending on the model, the cables pass completely inside the handlebar (including the stem) or semi-integrated where the cables enter the frame below the stem.
