Mavic E-Deemax Wide 27,5" Boost wheelset

All Mavic's experience has gone into this E-Bike wheel: solid, reliable and durable, with a new 30 mm rim profile that facilitates tyre fitting and protects against punctures caused by pinching (PFP).

The name E-Deemax has become a benchmark for e-bike users. This new E-Deemax wheel lives up to its name, with many of the same features and technologies as the top-of-the-range model, but at a much more affordable price.

A completely new rim profile has been designed for this new version. With a wider rim base, fitting the strongest and most rigid tyres has never been easier. The unique Pinch Flat Protection (PFP) technology provides a larger contact area at the top of the sidewall, significantly reducing the risk of cuts and punctures. Thanks to PFP technology, the tyre can withstand 20% more impacts before being cut. The rim is welded for reliability and features a 30 mm inner width with Tubeless Ready compatibility, which allows a lower tyre pressure to be used for better traction and control.

Like all E-Deemax wheels, this new option has been validated in the lab and in the field for a maximum total weight of 180 kg.

This new generation of E-Deemax is equipped with the brand new 28-hole Infinity hub. Infinity means that only one spoke length is required for the front and rear wheel, left and right, and that one spoke can be replaced without removing the disc or cassette. The reinforced spokes should protect against damage, but in any case each wheel comes with 2 spare spokes.

The Instant Drive 360 freewheel system mounted on the rear wheel, with its double ratchet mechanism, guarantees quick engagement and unrivalled reliability.

The rear hub is compatible with Shimano HG9, Micro Spline and SRAM XD freewheel bodies. The E-Deemax 30 is available with 6-hole or Centre Locket brake discs and is compatible with a 15x110 front axle and a 12x148 rear axle. The wheel comes complete with valves, spare spokes and accessories. Available in 29" and 27.5", in pairs or individually for Mullet constructions.

Technologies

Maxtal aluminium alloy
Light and strong. Exclusive to Mavic, this specific aluminium alloy offers a better strength-to-weight ratio than conventional 6106 alloy.

Instant Drive 360 freewheel system
The new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system is ultra-light and efficient. An oversized non-contact rubber seal minimises friction and a wide choice of adapters makes it compatible with a wide range of frames and axles.

Tubeless UST
Traction and control. Universal Tubeless Standard. Ready-to-ride tubeless system.
The UST system improves traction, control and comfort while reducing inertia and the risk of punctures.

Pinch Flat Protection sidewalls (minimise the risk of cuts and punctures)
The risk of punctures is reduced by 20% thanks to the PFP system. An innovation specifically for e-bikes, which significantly reduces the risk of punctures and tears.

SUP Welding
Welded process, a stronger and smoother connection. After strapping, the rim joint is arc-welded. The welded joint is then machined to a smooth finish.

Infinity hubs
Efficient power transfer thanks to optimised non-contact spoke lacing (no noise under load) and tension distribution. The length of the front and rear spokes is identical. Easy maintenance thanks to tool-free solution.

QRM Auto Bearings
Quality Mavic Auto bearings. These cartridge bearings are obviously double sealed, with C3 internal clearance. The system adjusts automatically to ensure perfect rotation without play in the long term.
