Also developed in collaboration with the Astana Pro Team, it was found to be the best at an average speed of 40 km/h during comparative tests in the Magny-Cours wind tunnel in France. Twelve air intakes and three longitudinal ducts channel the hot air flow out and speed it up, allowing better and immediate internal cooling to keep the head cool for the duration of the performance.
Its aerodynamics and compact design, with an attractive shape and tapered lines, make it a helmet that can also be used on everyday outings. It comes with a magnetic buckle.

Aereodynamics
Never seen such an aerodynamic helmet: designed and developed in collaboration with Team Astana, the helmet was compared with other models to test its aerodynamic resistance in the wind tunnel at Magny- Cours in France, and was the best at an average speed of 40 km/h. AIR SPEED achieves record values referring to the drag coefficient, the result of continuous research to break new limits in terms of performance, safety and reliability.

Beyond the wind tunnel
It has been proven by certified studies that the bicycle you race with counts for about 20 percent of the aerodynamic drag, while the remaining 80 percent is made up by the athlete in the saddle. In these terms, the helmet is definitely the key element in minimizing the frontal area and thus determining better aerodynamic penetration.
And this is where wanted to go beyond wind tunnel testing. Not only with three-dimensional simulation supports with CFD software, but also taking into consideration the many variables dictated by the real effort required on the road and, especially, in competitive racing, when the rider hardly stays still in the saddle in the same position, and moves his head countless times.
This is where Limar Air Speed comes in: the designers have found the perfect combination of aerodynamic advantage (wind tunnel testing) and improved dynamics both on open roads and in velodromes (testing in real environmental conditions). Just during one of the recent road training in Calp and tests carried out indoors in the velodrome in Valencia, riders from Team Astana, were able to really test the helmet and touch the features that make AIR SPEED the ideal helmet, and they were thrilled.

High comfort
The new AIR FIT SYSTEM adjustment system is lightweight and compact, with horizontal and vertical adjustment in perfect connection with the strap, for a fit in total comfort and safety. It features Fidlock magnetic release and soft, washable and hypoallergenic padding.
