Designed to elevate the riding experience on mixed trails, from asphalt to dirt roads, Sharq is the result of careful research, advanced engineering and extensive design and testing work to ensure the best possible performance. All with a 100% controlled supply chain, where all components are made in Europe and assembled in our own factories. The new Sharq is characterised by a 25 mm internal channel, a valid compromise both for road wheels of at least 30 mm, guaranteeing aerodynamics and improving rolling resistance, and for larger and knobbly tyres, offering valid support to the tyre structure in off-road use. To make it compatible with tubeless and inner tube systems, the rim is fitted with a mini-hook, which ensures maximum safety. As is standard Fulcrum practice, the bridge is not punctured and, therefore, native tubeless, with no need for additional tape.

Technologies
2-Way Fit
Tubeless technology was adopted in the automotive sector, then in the motorbike sector and finally in cycling. After its debut in mountain biking, it's time to ‘put it on the road’: and that's what Fulcrum offers. It has developed 2-Way Fit™ technology to ensure the perfect compatibility of their tubeless wheels even with normal clinchers and inner tubes. 2-Way Fit™ wheels are perfectly multipurpose for tackling any situation. Thanks to a special indentation in the valve area, the tubes are fitted with maximum precision, keeping the tube perfectly stable inside the clincher. The valve for tubeless tyres is also accommodated without risk, with the undoubted advantage that there is never any air infiltration due to sub-optimal positioning during assembly. The advantages are clear: various tests have shown an unprecedented increase in smoothness. As there is no inner tube, friction due to friction with the tyre is eliminated and the perfect adherence of the tyre on the rim avoids energy losses. A tubeless tyre does not suffer from sudden deflation in the event of a puncture, so that's a nice safety advantage. No risk of pinching, then, because there is no inner tube to break.
AFS axle system™
The Axial Fixing System™ is the solution developed by Fulcrum® for fixing the disc brake to the hub. The constraint conferred by the fixing rebate surface, which is greater than in already known standards, makes it possible to achieve greater structural rigidity and therefore more precise and powerful braking.

USB™ - Ceramic Ultra Smooth Bearings™
Fulcrum® has always been recognised for the extremely high smoothness performance and reliability of its hubs. This is because all projects are developed in-house in the Fulcrum® R&D department and every detail is taken care of obsessively. Hubs equipped with USB™ ceramic bearings (Ultra Smooth Bearings) further enhance the wheels' smoothness and reduce weight and maintenance, making your racing bike wheels faithful allies. Comparative tests have shown that USB™ bearings are 50% smoother than standard bearings. Raising your performance in road races, triathlons, or simply pedalling with your friends will now become easier.
2:1 Two-to-One Spoke Ratio™ - Disc Brake
A simple but effective system, born thanks to the ingenuity of Fulcrum® technicians and careful observation of the results of the tests that are carried out every day on Fulcrum wheels (wheels for racing bikes, MTBs, and cyclocross bikes). Thanks to these, in fact, it has been possible to understand that the forces acting on the sides of the wheel and therefore on the spokes are extremely different; but that's not all, even between the front and rear wheel the differences are evident and important. The front wheel, in fact, must remain stable even during braking of the disc on the left side while the rear wheel, in addition to making room for the sprocket set, must compensate for the pull of the force on the chain side.
MoMag™
A magnet and a lot of ingenuity. This is how the patent for the proven ‘Mounting Magnet’ system was born. The nipples, once inserted inside the rim via the valve hole, are ‘guided’ to the point of engagement with the spoke by the magnet. Thanks to this simple trick, it is possible to obtain a wheel without holes on the upper bridge, but with spokes tensioned by traditional nipples! The absence of holes on the rim is also synonymous with a product that is homogeneous throughout, free of critical points or areas of failure. In fact, for clincher profiles, the use of Rim Tape is no longer necessary. The advantages are immediately perceptible: less weight, longer rim life, greater resistance to fatigue, the possibility of greater tensioning of the spokes and greater stiffness which, in terms of performance, mean more reactivity and acceleration.
Undrilled Rim Bed

Traceability
The key word for products is traceability. If you find a small label attached to Fulcrum® components, do not remove it.
