The philosophy of Bont is to provide the best biomechanical support for maximum results
Founded in 1975, Bont is the largest manufacturer of custom footwear that has remained the #1 till today. It is described with 6 unique features:
- Best in the weight/rigidity ratio.
- Manufacturer of the lowest sole.
- The shoe base is formed through a thermoformed processing which adds an additional resistance and durability.
- The construction doesn't deform even in the wettest conditions.
- Thermal stabilization.
- True anatomic shape: lateral construction that provides support for the whole foot; arch support: both medial and longitudinal; the monocoque design offers the best results.
Bont think differently
The toes at the metatarsal level are being left in their natural position without following the aesthetic brand lines. The foot is free to work in the most correct anatomical position and can release all performance on a larger support surface.
The anatomical heel shape
Increases stability of the foot in all pedaling steps. No mechanical operation is necessary to achieve this result, it means the correct blood circulation and greater comfort.
Medial and longitudinal arch support
It guarantees the correct position that prevents and reduces ankle pain, knees and even the back pain.
Anatomical shape and biomechanical support
The carbon sole features a lateral support that keeps the foot in the correct position, avoiding problems with the knees and back pain.

Most cycling shoes are made with sponge foam padding. It’s light, it’s cheap and it doesn’t crush down. But what it does do is absorb water when it gets wet. So, if your feet sweat, you ride through a puddle or if it starts raining, your shoes start absorbing the water which makes your shoes very heavy indeed. This type of foam is known in the industry as open cell foam, because the cells are porous. The foam used in making a Bont shoe is a high quality closed cell memory foam which doesn’t absorb water. So you don’t have to worry about them absorbing water when you ride.
Anti stretch tapes are then added. These tapes are similar to seatbelt material and ensure the boot does not stretch over time.
The closure system that offers the best shoe fixation and as a consequence the best performance.
