Assos Mille GT Summer C2 GTO Long bib shorts

The GTO bib shorts are the jewel in the crown of the MILLE GT total comfort line. They are the descendents of the CENTO and Campionissimo shorts, designed with the multidensity pad, the most responsive ASSOS has ever created to date.

ASSOS knows that the lack of support of large muscles, friction and excessive pressure are the main enemies of long rides. That's why it created the GTO shorts: a real revolution from the conventional structure of bib shorts. Assos used recessed seams on the back and an entirely new shaped pad to eliminate chafing and pressure in the genital area. Cut and fabric provide unparalleled muscle support with a flawless, body-hugging fit thanks to crease-free construction at leg height. The GTO has two leg lengths: STANDARD and LONG (+3cm vs standard).

Features

Ossidia
A 40-gauge warp knit textile, developed for compressive hold and an ultrasoft feel against the skin. 195g/m2, UPF 50+, moisture wicking, built-in minerals for odorControl, freshness & thermoregulation, and extremely durable.

Mille GTO C2 Insert
Created with proven goldenGate technology, meaning free of side seams, and the requisite recessed seams for frictionless comfort. For the front, Assos used the new super-lightweight sunDeck, successor of the iconic kukuPenthouse: a super-soft-on-the-skin, foam-free fabric that is preformed in a cup shape to support a man's anatomical form, ensuring maximum ventilation. In addition, this pad features the twin21 System consisting of three different layers.

Microshock
The base of the pad is made of an ultralight foam with a thickness of 11 millimeters and a highly shock-absorbing composition.

Filterfoam
Between the microShock layer and the 3D waffle, Assos inserted a low-density matrix foam with a thickness of 10 millimeters to fully absorb micro-vibrations. The open cell structure allows for the elimination of excess sweat.

3D waffle
A patented, three-layer perforated foam that increases breathability and eliminates excess weight.

zeroWaist
A raw-cut, tape-reinforced edge for the smoothest transition possible between the body and fabric panel. More comfort with less pressure.

superFlat X-FRAME
A single portion of elastic folded on itself, forming an X-shaped support structure, with the aim of limiting vertical elasticity in the back.

Rifinitura skinGrip finish
Raw cut edge with a very thin silicone applique, which keeps the shorts in place without exerting excessive pressure.
