Made with elite, racing-oriented riders in mind, the Scott Road RC shoe is primed for pure speed. It features a matte finish asymmetric welded microfiber & mesh conforming upper. The shoe offers a dual-zone Boa® IP-1 lacing system, allowing on-the-fly adjustability in two separate segments. For optimal sole support, the Ergologic insole features an adjustable arch support and metatarsal button. The stiff HMX Carbon fiber sole has a stiffness index of 10.
- Closure: Boa IP-1.
- Ergologic removable insole included.
- Real weight: 269 g (43).
The Boa System, delivers closure and adjustment solutions purpose-built for performance. Boa’s patented system consists of three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial, super-strong lightweight laces, and low friction lace guides. Each unique configuration is engineered to optimize fit and provide precision, adaptability, and control.
Power Zone Outsole Road
Scott has worked with scientists for several years to develop a concept which integrates maximum comfort and efficiency via the outsole. The Power Zone and the Axial Flex are designed to minimize the strain on both the knee and ankle to improve comfort and reduce overuse injuries. The stiff carbon fiber outsole has a stiffness index of 10. Linear high modulus carbon in a specific 10 ply layup tooptimize sole stiffness from cleat area to heel and minimize weight yet still allowing some torsional flex from the arch to the heel. Featuring a new alignment system to make cleat mounting and placement much easier and more precise.
Wrap Fit upper incorporates a structural layer of synthetic leather which conforms to the foot like a second skin. The construction is comprised of two parts: the structural layer and the accu-form butted seams. This system provides a supportive structure that is comfortable and free of pressure points.
Just as no two people are alike neither are their feet. It was important to create shoes that are a supportive stable platform for maximum performance and all day comfort. A shoe that can adapt to a wide range of feet and offer a glove like fit.
Foot zoning allows to consider the anatomical shape of the foot and ergonomically pre-shape the insoles for a perfect fit to support the cyclist's foot. This provides a stable foundation for improved comfort and power transfer.
