The SES 4.5, the ENVE house favourite for its absolute speed and riding safety, has been redesigned to reduce weight, increase aerodynamic efficiency and further expand its capabilities when the going gets tough. Whether you're aiming for the number for race day or looking for the fastest road wheel on undulating terrain, the SES 4.5 is all about speed. Originally designed to provide an aerodynamic advantage on Paris-Roubaix cobbles when using 28-32mm high volume tyres, the SES 4.5 AR was the first of its kind when it was introduced in 2016. For 2022, we've taken all the best features of the SES 4.5 AR, such as the rim design optimised for high-volume tyres and the shape that gives it class-leading aerodynamics and stability, and updated it with anti-pinch-flat technology and a lighter, more refined laminate to reduce weight and improve ride feel. The redesign gives the new SES 4.5 greater versatility through pinch-flat resistance and weight reduction, without compromising speed. With an inner rim width of 25 mm, you get confident handling, which makes the SES 4.5 a breeze on technical trails with imperfect pavement. Like the rest of the SES wheel line, the SES 4.5 has been optimised for tubeless performance on the road and features a hookless bead design that allows for the precise rim size needed for best tubeless performance. To further enhance the reliability of the tubeless tyre and rim, this aerodynamic carbon fibre wheel set features ENVE's patent-pending Wide Hookless Bead, a design element on the front edge of the rim that provides a more forgiving surface that, when impacted, will reduce the likelihood of deflating a tubeless tyre.

• All wind angles are not equal. Anemometer data show that most of the ride time will be spent in winds of less than 12 degrees yaw. The weighted average aerodynamic drag is a tool that helps the rider understand the aerodynamic efficiency of a bicycle in real wind and riding conditions.

Innerdrive Premium Road Hub
The ENVE Premium Straight Pull hub, found in all SES and G series wheels, is a new 100% ENVE drive mechanism. Oversized steel pawls are positioned inside and above the bearings, reducing stress on the axle and bearings and ensuring positive and reliable engagement. The main advantages of the INNERDRIVE™ Premium hub include:

• Weight savings: The new direct-drive ENVE INNERDRIVE™ Premium hub offers a weight saving of 60 grams compared to the previous generation of ENVE hubs.
• Four engagement options: Interchangeable ratchets allow cyclists to fine-tune their rides according to personal performance needs. Whether it's to maximise efficiency, responsiveness or reliability, there is solution.
• Ratchet options include: 40t, 60t, 80t, 100t.
• Constant spoke length: the brand new straight-pull hub shell allows a single spoke length to be used for any rim diameter, simplifying service and maintenance.
• Anti-twist spoke hole: to further improve the quality of wheel construction, the consistency of spoke tension, and to prevent damage to the spokes during wheel construction, an anti-twist function has been incorporated to prevent the spokes from twisting during wheel construction or while riding.
• Silent spoke crossings: The straight drive hub shell creates a gap between each spoke, ensuring that your ENVE wheel set cannot have any spoke creaks.

Optimised for tubeless
Increased speed, comfort, grip and puncture resistance: what could be better than a tubeless road tyre? By choosing a high-performance tyre at the right pressure, you can achieve lower rolling resistance and higher speed. Tubeless tyres also allow you to use much lower pressures for far greater comfort, traction and efficiency, especially on uneven road surfaces and gravel, without sacrificing speed. The risk of punctures and, with the sealant, of punctures from debris is virtually eliminated. Tubeless represents the pinnacle of performance in road wheels and tyres, and the hookless bead design plays a significant role. The hookless rim design allows the use of machined metal tools to establish a precise and consistent bead seat diameter that meets the requirements defined by ETRTO. The precision fit between the tubeless tyre bead and the rim bead seat guarantees air and tyre sealing.
